  1. I keep hearing people talk about this band, and I can see why. It's a pretty catchy tune, and I find myself humming every now and then. Gets stuck in my head pretty easily. Probably doesn't help that at least 3 different radio stations have it on rotation…I should check out some of there other stuff.

  2. Hello David
I've actually heard this one before, and a couple of their other singles – Planet Rock play them pretty regularly. Good stuff.

  3. Very cool band form NJ!

At 0:07 in the video you see a quick shot of the front of the Stone Pony nightclub in Asbury Park, NJ. This is where Springsteen used to play, along with the Asbury Jukes, and DJ's fav, Jon Bon Jovi…lol!

I have been to Asbury park a few times, once with a buddy on our way to Long Island for a show. Asbury Park used to be a big beach resort, but is now a blighted, crumbling city…Springsteen wrote about this in “My City Of Ruins.”

We were in Asbury Park around 3pm on a chilly March day. We walked along the decrepit boardwalk, then stopped into the Pony. There was nobody in there at all, so we just checked the place out for a little while…it was a little creepy, and a kind of cool, with just us and the ghosts of music past.

I wonder if TGA ever plays there?

  4. Oh yeah, baby, The Gaslight Anthem = GREAT!
Cool info about the Stone Pony, Andy. I knew (from a friend who lives in that area) that Asbury Park had seen better days, but sounds like it's really gone downhill since its heyday.

  5. I think there is a ongoing revitialztion effort underway, so hopefully things are getting better there.

    AND:

“On October 30, 2010, the largest gathering of zombies was achieved by the 4,093 participants in New Jersey Zombie Walk at the Asbury Park Boardwalk” per Wiki.

  6. And then Minneapolis came and kicked ass!

As of November 2012, Twin Cities (Minneapolis–Saint Paul) holds the current world record for zombie gathering, recognized by Guinness at a count of 8,027 at Midway Stadium in Saint Paul on 13 October 2012. Estimates of the entire Twin Cities crawl put the zombie event upwards of 30,000 zombie participates, surpassing any other gathering of its kind, official or not.[53]
